A reimagined life of a Hungarian coffee table made in 1971. The original “Piri” type table has a delicately antiqued butter-colored surface and a subdued mandala pattern, which is made more characteristic by newly applied copper-plated corner decorations. The original certificate of quality found on the bottom of the table gives the piece a special historical layer — a meeting of the real past and a contemporary reinterpretation.
